In our weekly Library Card Series we highlight a selection from our resource library to help introduce the content to our industry partners.

Bomb threats or suspicious items should always be taken seriously. And while they remain a low likelihood of occurring, the fact remains that the cannabis industry continues to be a hotly debated one within society. Therefore, receiving bomb threats, and suspicious packages, regardless of knowing what to do in such a stressful situation can save lives, including your own. DHS has several resources that discuss what to do if you receive a bomb threat over the phone or find a suspicious package. The checklist below outlines in-depth procedures for either bomb threats or suspicious items and will help you prepare and react appropriately during these events. This is the type of item that could be included in staff security training, and then kept nearby in the event it ever needs to be referenced during an incident.
